Untitled (just read it!)

Our Youth Pastor, this morning visit me and asked for something I can't say 'No'. He asked me to make some reports and entries for our church's bulletin board. He also asked me if I can be the Youth of the Month and fill up questions to be posted in our Church's Bulletin Board and I say 'Yes'. To see what are my answers in his questions, just read it below.

Age: 15 yrs old.

B-Day: March 19, 1993

Spiritual Birthday: June 25 2005

Life Verse: “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things on the earth; for you are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you will also appear with Him in glory” (Col 3:2-4).

Unforgettable Christian Experience: There’s so much I can’t forget about my Christian life. One is the 2004 Summer Camp in Florida, Pampanga where I first meet God. Though I’m still kid then and my mind is insufficient to absorb preaches, still the Holy Spirit of God knocked on my heart and I can’t explain how he breaks my rigid heart and turn it for following Him. Secondly, is my Baptismal Service on June 25, 2005 when I followed Water Baptism at Rainforest. And just this summer, God confronted my heart to turn again to him after I’ve chosen the wrong path He never told me to take. It was when I attended a Camp in Iba, Zambales. My motif of joining the camp is just ‘enjoyment’, celebrating the last days of the class with my friends, but I was wrong when the ambiance of God’s Holy Spirit hugged me. There I realized I’m long blinded by this WORLD—supposing it can offer me the best leisure, but when God showed me his grace, I’ve found a deeper joy and I was wrong to uncover it in this WORLD not on GOD. I still remember the song hitting my heart then, it goes like “Here in this darkness I lift my eyes on you your light comes shining through. Here in this silence I HEAR YOU CALL MY NAME AND I CRY OUT TO YOU! Jesus I Surrender, I draw nearer, I fall down. Master be my SAVIOR, be my SHELTER be my GOD!” and it made me cry out. And thirdly was the 2008 B.C. camp in Pampanga where God called to offer a whole time service for him. It was not my intention when I joined the camp, but God who planned it for me. There I remember, Ptr. Arroyo is calling for those who want to commit for a full time service, then, out of my curiosity, God made me cry, God made me walk to prayer, God made me follow the prayer and His Holy Spirit made me commit. That’s all by God’s grace.

What I’m praying for? Now, I’m praying for the right decision on what to choose after I graduated high school. Should I choose to first enter secular schooling or enter straight Bible School? Please pray for God’s providence on me while He is showing me the right choice. Also, please pray for the needs of my family, this church as a whole (including the workers and the members), my health in terms of spiritual, physical, emotional, and of coarse my LOVE LIFE! Haha!

What I will become after 5 years? I can’t tell yet what I will become after five years. If God will choose me to enter the Bible School, probably I’ve already graduated the degree and enjoy myself serving the Lord. But if the otherwise will happen, maybe I will became a graphic designer, web-designer, computer programmer or anything related to computer but still serving the Lord. Maybe I will be 2 inches taller, I will grow stout (hope not), I will fall in love but always paid a heartbreaks(0_0), I will go to Europe and travel all over the World. Construct a house fitted for my family, a preacher of God’s word, own a apple Laptop and a colored cell phone I’m always dreaming of. I want to see myself so professional! Haha. There’s nothing wrong about dreaming, anyway its unlimited! And stand independent though I will still visit my parents everyday. Haha! Ironic? Basta… There’s so much I want me to be after five years.

Trials and Triumph

Just yesterday, me together with my church mates (Jomar, Kuya Michael, Ptr. Benjie, Ptr. Arroyo and his wife Tchr. Norma) attended a whole day bible conference about “Fundamentalism in the Last Days” in Manila Baptist Church somewhere in Ermita. It was a special consultation in the Philippines by the International Council of Christian Churches (ICCC). We arrived there at about 9:45 am and the program started at 10:00 am. I never suppose that I will be joining with well-experienced pastors in the Philippines and we’re the only youth there.

The conference discusses about Fundamentalism which is a religious belief based on literal interpretation of the word of God in regard to faith and moral. It’s the very foundation of Christian Churches which they want to give more emphasis and to be highlighted in today’s advancing generation. The conference encourages Baptist churches to still practice the value of Fundamentalism despite of the changes in today’s way of service.

****************

It’s a two-in-one conference actually. A conference for spiritual growth and a conference for coffee break and heavy food break for physical healthiness. When we arrived there, the conference welcomed us with a coffee for free. With my crafty mind, I discover a Starbucks-taste-like coffee when I mix a one pack of Milo and a half sachet 3-in-1 Nescafe and it taste WOW! Splendid!

After the morning session, it’s a coffee break again and I made a Starbucks-taste-like coffee again together with a biscuit. And then we ate our bottom-less lunch and go back to the seminar after we take another coffee break (so much coffee! Actually I can’t sleep there!). In the afternoon session, they talk about ICCC and we can’t relate ourselves to the topic. So we chatted with each other and a frequent coffee break wandered our ambiance. And since we have nothing to do, pinapapak nalang ni Jomar ang Milo and then we’re texting while the speaker talks. Hahaha.

After that session, it’s a coffee break again! And we filled our tummy with so much coffee that day! We ate a bottom-less lunch again and waited for another session. After that session, we decided to go home and not to go again the next day because we have no more money to pay for the transportation.

I will miss the COFFEE BREAK and the Starbucks-taste-like coffee I frequent prepare!

My Buddies -Tropang Kulets

My mind is bulky now and I don’t know what to post just to update my blog. My mind dives in conflict and there’s so much thoughts popping around it but I don’t know where to start. Haha..

**************

This week, I often go home late (as late as 9:30 pm) just to stay and have some fun with my new buddies in church, at someone else’s house talking about our secrets, love life’s and some stuffs we’re commonly facing including the matters of growing up and being a teenager. The revealing game starts with plays called ‘TRUTH OR TRUTH’ then stormy questions fall out around us to answer each and reveal secrets among us. It’s really fun and very shocking experience, I never suppose those things to happen but they pop up on their mouths and I am surprised with revelations I only discover then.

I realize, we’re tracking a winding road of maturity and being teens. When I take a look at our childish days when everything seems to be naïve, we’re just talking about toys, amusements, outdoor games,, infatuation and crushes so childish, but now we use to talk about our love life and I am surprised with theirs. I never suppose those things to happen. Haaayyy.. Now I can conclude were all teens experiencing the troubles of our own adolescence.

**************
Any way, the buddies I am telling are my co-youth in our church. We name our self ‘Kulets’. They all started after our post camp rally last Sunday, when most of us decided to stay and played the keyboard, guitars, beat box, shakers until we created sounds and jammed with each other. After that, we decided to stay at Danica’s House to talk about ourselves together with the cheers of RC cola and Jaki Tyan.

We are.. (alphabetically arranged)
1. Bryan
2. Casey
3. Cesar
4. Chenie
5. Chramagne
6. Christoper
7. Danica
8. Den-Den
9. Jomar
10. Nathalie
11. Sarah

A Mother's Providence

Look at her now, she’s aged, she’s pale and almost dying but she by no means minds her condition just to carry you in all your needs and even your wants. She thrives all day long to clean the things you mess up, to prepare foods for you, to prepare the clothes you’re going to wear, to wash the plates you’ve used and just after the sun sets, she looks rugged but she still do the chores for you. In fact you only see her as a ‘maid’ but mind you, if she’s your ‘maid’, you’ve chosen the best maid huh! Where can you find a maid that is willing to work her life for you in no cost? Where can you find a maid that is there when you are in deep emotional problem and even when you’re weak? Where can you find a maid that is willing to observe your footsteps and correct them when they step wrongly? People, she’s more than a maid, she’s your mother!

She never bothers even her hands roughen, she never bothers even her skin turns into scales, she never bothers even her lovely face turns into a witch-like one. She never bothers because she knows all of these hardships are for your sake. Daughters and sons, she minds you!

Your mother who actually witness your first breath, your first step, your first word, your first crawl and at night, she’s sleepless just to prepare your ‘dede’. She even role as your first teacher and the reason behind your silly lines and curves drawn on your walls—your ‘happy family drawing’ that looks like sticks remember that? And the first time you sing the alphabet song?

She’s also there watching you as you grow up: as you learn how to spell your name, as you learn how to add, subtract, multiply and divide, as you learn to name different species, as you learn how to speak English and when you graduated your elementary days, she walks with you in the aisle until you both reach the stage to get your diploma and waves a good farewell to your childish elementary days to welcome your high school life. Look how things happen and notice your mother never let each day pass unless she hasn’t hug you nor kiss your cheeks nor listen to your fancy stories in midnight until you close your eyes in prayer.

But when you entered high school, a great shake twisted your life. Now you’re conscious to accept hugs and kisses from her, now things appeared corny when she asks you about your problems, your crush and your love life, now you chose to sleep in a separate room unlike before when you sleep with her and have some stories with her until you both sleep in a prayer. And sometimes you’re bragging about something you want that your mother can’t give and you will shout on her so she will slap your face until she finds you packing your things up and leaving your house. Did you ever think that it cause her a deep depression? Did you ever think that she couldn’t give you what you want because she has nothing to offer? Did you ever find out the reason why she slaps your face is to show you that you’re wrong? And there she’s alone waiting for you to comeback home.

Maybe, this could be the nicest reason for you to turn again on her, come back home, and ask for forgiveness for she will gladly accept you home. Or for those who never experienced this, you can still ask for forgiveness on her for your shortcomings and disobedience. And thank her for the great things she’ve done in your life. Kiss her in her cheeks, hug her jut like what you did before and tell her, Mom, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! I love you!

Why wont offer the best for our mother this day? This is their day! Can’t we do their daily chores to free them from their sweat? Can’t we treat them to fast food or malls and have some fun there? Remember, this is their day, GIVE THE BEST EXPIRIENCE they could have in a year.

To all mommies, gandma, tita and to my mother, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

Try to read this poem from Dr Dixie Chua written in her book, ‘Footprints in the Snow’

When I was just a little girl

With long hair tied into a pony tail

Sitting next to Mother in a stool

Holding tightly to her knitting wool

She said the company I gave then

Would someday given to a young man

Who would court me for my hand

And build a nest with me in Wonderland

With childlike devotion and disbelief

I proclaimed my desire short and brief,

“I will never leave you alone

Or this one we called our own.”

She smiled and sighed, but she was right

One by one her children took their flight

To all parts of the world they would scatter

And never did they came back together

Rocking by the fire she prayed

For each of them in his or her place

Where God has called them to do his will

With faith and love His tasks to fulfill

When she was old and weak

She trusted that God would meet

Her needs and providing help and care

And someone, her lonely days to share

A young strong arm to lead her way

And warm gentle smile given everyday

Through someone else’s daughter and son

Where her own far beyond the horizon

Blessing In Disguise

Just this week, a mail knocked on our door delivering a book from ‘Fishers’. It was addressed for my older sister. Before we knew that it was the book she requested from ‘Fishers’ we thought it was a mere love letter from her chat mate in Japan.

The book was entitled as ‘Footprints on the Snow’ and was written by Dr. Dixie Chua, the writer whom I discuss in my first post. Her book is the particular book where I’ve read about ‘When the Azaleas are Blooming’ and the same book that transpired this.

The book actually discusses the life of the writer herself and her circumstances when she found God and when there is God grace when she thinks she is falling. She also wrote there about her love life, about her career, about her family, about her interests in the most attractive manner she could.. It’s really inspiring, that’s why I render it to some of my church mates.

You? Do you want a copy of it? If you think it will cost you too much, mind you YOU’RE WRONG! It cost nothing. All you have to do is request for it and for some week, it will be delivered right in your house. It’s even a good pastime and a good news behold it! So grab your own now!

Click this link to request for your own!

Here I go again, can I ask a bit favor from you? I want to earn money from my own sweats, and no company can offer me except on these advertisements loitered around my blog. By just clicking it, you can help me raise money for my studies. I thank you in advance!

Stardom!

Well, it all starts here!

Finally I’ve grabbed my own blog here. It’s a great success for me, though it appears to be a ‘masterpiece’ of an ‘Absolute Beginner’. But I won’t deny it, I’m a beginner actually. Hahaha.

Without much a do, I warmly welcome you to my blog: When the Azaleas are blooming. Wonder why I baptized it as such? It’s because of a writer who truly inspired me to make this blog. She is Dr. Dixie Chua, a Christian writer who ponders my interest to write my own stories rather on the web.

‘When the Azaleas are blooming’ is actually one of her many inspiring stories. I grabbed her title and place it here. I chose this title among many others because this touched me. Truly God set plans and purposes to everyone, and he wants us to accomplish it for him. But on the means of our journey, sometimes we tend to turn on the wrong destination including the thorns which often add to our burdens and the reason why we’re misalign. And God, like man, is often hurt because of us, being prodigal. But God hasn’t forsaken us, he still carry us to our mission until we completed his plans set for us. And he supposes that we all accomplish his plans for us WHEN THE AZALEAS ARE BLOOMING. And that day will be the nicest day he has ever made for us for it marks the reunion of the bond that was once broken between God and us.

Azaleas, actually is us, that was once dull but God never let a day unless he has watered us and gave us the supplements we need as what gardeners do with their plants. And the reason of our dullness is our choice—our choice not to accept what our Gardener offers plus the pests that destroys us. But this Gardener never let the azaleas fall into destruction so he still rescues us from falling and he nurses us until the day WHEN all of THE AZALEAS ARE BLOOMING.

Sooooo… Enjoy reading my blog and remember CHOICE it’s our if we will accept and foster what God feeds us. Actually, these supplements are actually there, it only waits until we grab one and nurtures it whole heartedly!

Since I am a beginner, I can only offer you this design but I will scrutinize all the means of manipulating a good one! PROMISE!

Ai, before I forget, can I ask a bit favor from you? I want to earn money from my own sweats, and no company can offer me except on these advertisements loitered around my blog. By just clicking it, you can help me raise money for my studies. I thank you in advance!
